The Harvest Meet

The Harvest Meet is an invitational meet conducted by NAAC on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The meet is run by the Norristown Area Aquatic Club Parents Club and is the main fund raiser for the club each year. Every swimmer's parent must participate in some aspect of this meet. This includes both swimming and diving team parents. If you are unable to participate on the day of the meet you will be assigned a related job.

League Invitational Meets

Invitational Swim Meets are optional, voluntary meets open to all swimmers in our league. The Invitational meet provides a great experience for swimmers looking to choose their own events and swim against swimmers from the entire league.  There are several optional Invitational meets throughout our season, hosted as fund-raisers by member clubs of the league. Most of these meets are held on Sundays. Complete information about the meets will be posted on the pool bulletin board and on the NAAC Web site. Invitationals include: PVAC Fall Fest, Get Back into the Swim, SWAC, Harvest Meet, Turkey Trot, Holiday Classic, Tropical Holiday, Odd Age, Pennsbury Splash and Last Chance Meet. 2011-2012 Invitationals: Registration Procedures

Anyone can attend these meets, but all registrations need to be done by the parents through NAAC's registrar (with the exception of the Harvest Meet). This year we will be implementing a new system for registration that will hopefully avoid any confusion in terms of how to register.

You can register your swimmers for as many or as few invitationals as you would like. For each invitational you opt to have your child(ren) participate in, you will need to:

  1. Complete the registration form in its entirety for each of your swimmers (for information on event number, please check SAL’s web page: http://www.suburbanaquatic.org/invites1112/invites.htm)
  2. Put the form(s) and a check (made out to NAAC) for the complete amount you owe for a single invitational into an envelope labeled with the name of the invitational. Families registering more than one swimmer for one invitational may make out one check for the total amount of the registration fee.
  3. Bring that envelope to the pool and put it into the “Invitationals” mailbox (look for a small plastic box labeled “Invitationals”) that will be placed on the table on the pool deck next to the entrance at each practice.
  4. If you are signing your swimmers up for multiple invitationals at one time, please follow this procedure for each invitational separately. So if you are signing your swimmers up for 2 of the invitationals listed below, for example, you would bring in 2 envelopes (each labeled appropriately) each with completed forms and a check. 
Please note: We cannot accept registrations through e-mail, and no swimmer will be registered for a given invitation without a check for the full registration fee. Late entries will not be accepted. Make sure to note the close out dates for each invitational sign-ups. Our team sign-up date is one week prior to the due date on the host club's announcement. We need one week to enter the entries into the computer and send them in to the host club.

    Registration due October 11, 2011 - $20.00 per swimmer, each swimmer swims all events.
  2. Perkiomen Valley Aquatic Club Fall Fest on Sunday, November 6, 2011: Registration due October 24, 2011
    $4.00 per event with a maximum of four events.
